Another year gone by. For me filled with many ups and downs but I am in a good place that brings hope with the coming year filled with anxious events meeting with loved ones. I continue to craft my way for that break out moment when I can say I am a professional. hahaha!! In time, with the gained experience it will come, with all the time I put into it... it will come. That's what I tell myself, believe and and motivate. And that's what you should do too!
Well, in the mean time there are so many good eats to enjoy and discover in this new land I am in. Many familiar, and many more so excitingly strange. And a few that are just to simple to believe. Shave ice I thought is shave ice is shave ice. Here I've learned that not all shave ice is equal. OMG!! Being asian, having been exposed to this stuff at a young age, I am still shocked at the levels this simple treat has reached. Ok, maybe to some of you this is how it's been. It's NEW to me. The shave ice is so fine served with many different colors and flavors, combined with several options like ice cream, azuki beans and other beans, taro, flans, custards, fruits, mochi it's endless and endlessly good. The best ones come from these hole in the wall places you would not even bother to look at most of the time you pass by except for the long line of people waiting to get this amazing old world treat. It reminds me not everything has to be packaged well to be good. I think I can apply this to everything, and will try to. Very cheap, amazingly good, and well worth the value when shared with those special around you.
This year has started good. There's a couple of DAers that have done some amazing work that I would like to feature. The Steampunk Hulk has received many words of appreciation and I couldn't wait for someone to color it. That day has come. Lyanna Stark is considered to be my best work inspiring many things including the attention of HBO. Hopefully, something of that can still come of. In the meantime check out the tat based on said creation. Man, can't wait to see the finished piece. Give them some time, check out their art and gallery, drop them a few lines too.

COLORING and COMMISSIONS
And for the record... yes, you may color my work as long as you tell me which one, what medium and when you expect to get it done. And, yes I do commissions. Rates are based on what you want, how much detail, do you want just the digital 300dpi file, the original, commercial use or not, etc. These are all done on 11x17 which allows me to the detailing you see a lot of in my work making it costly the more detail you request. The only time I do something not 11x17 is if it is requested to purchase the original. If you are looking to get a commission piece, send me a note with a brief description of what you want, what things you want included, and as much references as possible. The more the better. I will only fulfill requests of good taste.
And that brings us to another end that starts a new beginning, a new year. May you and yours find your rainbow this year with a full pot of gold.
Stay tuned later this month for my next featured work. And, don't be afraid to drop me a few lines too and let me know what's going with you and in your neck of the woods, and if you've read and good manga, fantasy, scifi books.

Winter has come and gone
It has been a pleasure working on 5 seasons of the best television series in the world... Game of Thrones. We may not be happy with the ending, not all are always happy but I am glad to see my most beloved story come to life on screen and that I, small little me, had a small part in it. Wow.
It is a great piece to have in my body of work. It is also hard to see what will I work on next to be as big. I have to move on and believe the best is yet to come.
I recently moved to San Diego and that has been a nice change. Although I don't enjoy the cold there is lots to see and do when I'm not working, doing commissions, working the con circui
Aloha Everyone!!
Winter is coming
The final season of Game of Thrones starts April 14, 2019. It has been a thrilling ride. From the time I first read the books in the 90s to drawing my first illustrations, to getting to work on HBO's Game of Thrones to this. It might be sad that this is coming to an end but excited for what is to come, the prequel.
I recently moved to San Diego and that has been a nice change. Although I don't enjoy the cold there is lots to see and do when I'm not working, doing commissions, working the con circuit, etc.
