Song of Ice and Fire Sansa by DubuGomdori Song of Ice and Fire Sansa by DubuGomdori
Ok here's my least favorite character. In fact I HATE this nitwit. I keep hoping for the author to kill her off or something. Sigh, he doesn't. Other than that for those who don't know the series of Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, she's a highborn lady (girl actually) who believes in love and beauty and yaddy yaddy ya. He (the author) keeps describing her as beautiful but in my mind she keeps popping in as a . . . 'dumb beast'. I'm using euphemism here Ok? "You're just like Sansa" is my fav swear word to my friends. Ha ha they hate it. Enjoy her being trapped high in the mountains. 11x17

There are several other works to this series. Below is a few more. Enjoy.

For most of Season Two, she is trapped and surrounded by truly despicable people, people who murdered her father and fully intend to murder the rest of her family, and almost certainly her as well as soon as she stops being useful. She has been betrayed, abused, beaten and humiliated, and what does Sansa Stark do?

She smiles sweetly and speaks prettily and keeps her mouth shut. Sansa knows there is no escape and she knows the only way she’s going to get out of King’s Landing alive and intact is if she does not give Joffrey or Cersei a single reason to hurt her. She robotically repeats that her father was a traitor and her brother is a traitor and that she loves his Grace King Joffrey. Her defiance are small, almost imperceptible, balms for her own dignity and sanity rather than acts of real rebellion. All she does is a conscious and calculated bid for survival. I love Sansa... I love her.

Poor Sansa everybody's gotta hate on her lol I will admit she did annoy the crap out of me in the beginning but I'm starting to have a change of heart. She just needs to hurry up and grow a frickin back bone!

Beautiful work. Shame that you hate her. :( Sansa is my favorite character, along with Tyrion, Stannis, and Jaime. I never understood the hate that she got for believing the world to be the way everyone kept telling her. As for being stupid, far from it. Despite her mistakes, Sansa has a diplomatic answer for every occasion, is great at acting, and is very observant. That natural talent, along with her terrible experiences and Pervy Littlefinger's tutelage, is going to serve her well. Bet money that she'll be sitting on a throne by the end of the series.

I agree with you.  I see her as the real power and has learned how to manipulate discretely.  I think she will turn up as an ace in someone's sleeve.  Hopefully we'll know the truth soon and not haveto keep waiting.

Actually, Sansa doesn't believe in knights or happy endings anymore. She's not the same person she was in Game of Thrones. And the fact that you think so shows you don't understand subtlety. George R.R. Martin said it himself he doesn't understand the hatred for her, anyways love the picture, hate the unnecessary and unjustified bias.

I hated her the first time I read the books, too. It was hard to see her be so pathetic in comparison to her siblings, especially the younger ones. I'm reading the books again and I'm having to force myself to remember that she's just a child. And the diversity in characters is what makes the books so good; no one is perfect, morals/actions aren't black and white etc.

Anyway, the line work in this is brilliant.

Your pictures are just amazing!!!!!!!!!! I love them. Wish I could draw half as good as you...but I am pretty untalented and not very patient with learning.... -.-
I only started reading "The song of Ice and Fire" three weeks ago....almost done with the second part now. Looking forward to the third already which is waiting in my book shelf. In the first book I hated Sansa just like you. Such a child, only looking on the outside and everything that isn't beautifull must be bad. And a traitor to her sister....at least that's what she was to me, when she didn't tell the Queen what really happened during that incident where Arya beat Joffrey (You go, Arya! ^^)Reading her thoughts in these books made me pretty angry. But in my opinion she improved in the second book and I felt sorry for her with all the things that happened. I will have to wait how she developes in the other books...though I suppose she never will be my favourite...or even close to that...

I didn't like her too much in the first book, but as time went on I noticed she became much less naive. Sure, she's still too expectant of miracles, but I imagine that's the only way to stay sane in such a hostile environment. She hasn't been close to anyone since her dad died. Can you imagine having to live with no friends or family surrounded by the people who murdered your dad, mother, and brother? I think she's actually very strong given her ordeals.

Beautiful art, by the way :)

They, I believe, will come together and be a force to reckon with and will have the element of surprise. When you play the Game of Thrones you have to play for keeps or else you will lose, most likely your life.

I actually like Sansa. She is the least productive Stark this is true, but I think she is going to surprise us all in Winds of Winter. We've seen at least a sense of growth in the fourth book a Feast of Crows. She is either going to become a Cersei lannister with morals or a true Stark. I doubt the author would keep her alive THIS long if he didn't have plans for her.

Wonder how long we have to wait for that. It took a long time for Dance of Dragons. Hope we don't wait that long. I'm going through withdrawals already. Luckily, I don't have to wait too much longer for the next season of HBO's Game of Thrones which should be called Clash of Kings if it's all right to assume that. We shall see. can't wait to see your own of the series too. So exciting. Hey, WINTER IS COMING!!

Well I've read that Martin is under contract to finish the final two books within a six year period, SO perhaps we will get the next book in a year or so. Perhaps faster if he has the inspiration. I am VERY excited about this coming April's second season of Game of Thrones. I have been following HBO's Game of Thrones Youtube channel. They have posted quite alot of behind the scenes things there if you'd like to check them out.

I will be posting my image soon, however know that you inspired my very sad attempt. Also Winter is INDEED coming! When I read this comment the first major snow of the winter season where I live was falling! How awesome and truly appropriate is that?!

I hate her just as much as you do. I hope to the Seven that she dies in one of the last two books... Arya doesn't deserve the psychotic torture Sansa inflicts on her daily, and she's an attention whore with a huge crush on a preteen stud - just like half the girls at my high school. :giggle:

Not a fan of Sansa myself, she has so many opportunities to escape, or stand up for herself, and she just keeps thinking the world is like it is in the songs. It's surprising she lastest as long as she has. I'm hoping she either has no part in future stories, or seriously turns around and becomes really good. Somehow I doubt it though >.> brill drawing though

I competely agree with you on your feelings of Sansa. When I first began reading the series, it was actually kind of sad how much viseral hatred and disgust for a fictional character I had for her. I'm finishing up "Feast for Crows" as we speak, and I don't hate her quite so much as I once did, but she's still no where close to me ever saying I "like" her.

Great art by the way.

Sansa is anything but stupid! And it's incredibly sad that you'd use Sansa as a swear word to call your friends Your artwork is beautiful but the fact that you call Sansa a nitwit shows just how much you don't understand her character. She is the only Stark who could ever survive at court, the only one who has a political mind and the one who has the biggest chance of surviving to the end and actually becoming queen. The fact that she's still alive where the rest are on their way to being dead is a testament to just how smart she is, even if she has to use stories and songs to keep sane in the midst of all the lies and secrets. She's gone through so much, to call her stupid is just an insult to GRRM's intelligence and her own character.

You know you are absolutely right. She is going to show the greatest character change, I believe, and will rise like a Phoenix of vengeance from whence no one suspects. Blindsided. She killed her Aunt and has to deal with little finger, she has really done what she needs to survive with the limited resources she has. Those acts have not only strengthen her backbone but have grown her confidence and cunningness. She is far from the innocent she is most commonly known for. I believe she will be an ace in the hole in the final battle of ice and fire.

I'm glad you agree! I really hope she'll play a bigger role in the books to come. As the oldest Stark child she has some big shoes to fill. Hopefully A Time for Wolves, at least, will give her some cool badass role I can look forward to.

I'm still wiling to give the character a chance, I think she's going to be a completely different person as the books progress (only read the 1st one too).
However, her name makes me snort at times because Sonsa means stupid in spanish, and sometimes (in the series) it sounds really alike. So it's hard for me to take her seriously.
I think the drawing is great by the way!!
