Here am I starting off a new tribute series to the man, George R. R. Martin. Don't get me wrong this is purely a fan work stemming from my fervent admiration of the story. Don't know much about the gentleman author, but his story? With a solemn nod I humbly say yay. I'm starting off with Arya Stark, from the Feast of Crows, where she enters the intimidating temple. I kept it as fairly accurate as possible with a lot of imagination pasted on. The style here is different from my usual blah drawing since I'm doing a study of Master Bernie Wrightson. Found out it was kamikaze mixing pencil with that style. But you know what? I'm'a gonn'a persevere here.
There are several other works to this series. Below is a few more. Enjoy.
Hi! I really, really love your drawings of this series, they are thoughtful, beautifully fdone and beautiful and the work perfectly for the characters they portray. I especially love the ones about Rhaegar, Lyanna and Robert Baratheorn. Thank you for sharing!
Arya never gets enough love from fan artists. She's my favorite character in the series, so I just love this. I can't wait for a Dance of Dragons which will have 3 more Arya chapters within the Temple of Black and White. CAN-NOT-WAIT.
Every so often he'll say in his journal that he's finished a chapter. It's "supposed" to have winter release. He says in his journal that he's chipping away and it's coming together. But it IS football season, so we may have to wait until after the Superbowl. -_-
Then he talks about the tours he's been booked on so it'll have to wait after that, then the book store appearances and then it's football season again. Maybe his team will do bad and he'll give up for greener fields like "writing". kekeke
She looks so furious, which really suits her at that point (you aced the personalities of both Stark girls). Difficult perspective you got there. I can't believe you even bothered to picture the moons in the floor, you sure pay attention to detail!
I was so glad she got there, I had been yearning for her to be safe and sound somewhere for thousands of pages. I just wish Martin had let her grow up the five years, I wanted to see her grow up to look like Lyanna... with ninja skills.
The wait is killing us all. And I hope someone hugs Arya. I want her to develop her skills and be the best assassin ever, beautiful and deadly (Lannisters tremble), but I also want to give her a teddy bear and a hug, shame on me.
