Prince Rhaegar Targaryenby *DubuGomdori

Good looking people, easy to look at and hard to draw. I read several snippets describing Prince Rhaegar, and made an ambitious decision to make him a tragic beauty (man, I know). I had fun doing the BG and his ornamental crown, but struggled with his face. This piece seems to be one of my botch job, and I can take more extensive time correcting it, but decided against it. Sometimes just live and learn, continue on.

For those who do not know Prince Rhaegar Targeryon, the Prince of Dragonstone, hee's the eldest son of King Aerys Targeryon. Silver hair and purple eyes. Reminiscence of Elric the Stormbringer from Michael Moorcock‘s legendary Eternal Warrior. He's described with features of such beauty to surpass Jaime Lannister. Even cold hearted Cersei Lannister, who's into pretty boys, fantasized being his wife. He likes music and books (kind'a like all of us minus his looks), but something changed in is youth deciding to beome a warrior. He trained himself to be an excellent knight, and settling with two kids from his beautiful wife, the golden Dornish princess. Attending a marquee tournament, the Tourney at Harrenhal, he won the championship but instead of bequeathing his wife with a crown of roses, the symbol of Love and Beauty, he went straight to Lyanna Stark and tossed it on her lap. You can only imagine the thunderous silence as all eyes now danced to Eddard Stark (brother), Robert Baratheon (fiance) and Prince Rhaegar. Adding insult to injury, he kidnapped her that sparked the War of the Usurper and his death at the Battle of Trident by Robert Baratheon. That also ended the line of the Dragon Lords as all members were hunted down. Or were they?

The two figures behind him, left one is Lyanna, holding her palm up, blood dripping, symbolizes her as the victim of this tragic event. The crown of roses symbolizes the Harrenhal tourney. The knife is the violent war raged on her, and the mourning wolf is her house sigil, identifying her as a Stark.
The right figure in the shadows, is what is yet to come, Prince Rhaegar’s sister, Princess Daenerys with her three dragons, spilling “Fire and Blood”, the House of Targaryen’s words.

I haven't read the books I only watched the series.. i know shame on me!!. If it was a video game on the other hand!! I really enjoy this series of yours, because most of these charterers r dead in the tv series so I only have this blank spaces where the faces should be. Thanks to you I now know, but only better. They cant hire actors that look this good. Love your work.
